U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has ordered a guided missile submarine and the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group to hasten their deployment to the Middle East amid escalating regional tensions.
The move comes as the U.S. and allies push for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, following recent assassinations of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders in Tehran and Beirut.
This military reinforcement aims to defend Israel and strengthen the U.S. presence in the region.
