Red Sea Undersea Cable Sabotage Amid Yemen Conflict: Three crucial Red Sea undersea cables, integral for global internet and telecom, have been severed, implicating Yemen's Houthi rebels. Despite their denials, the act aligns with their efforts to disrupt global telecommunications.

What’s the Impact? Asia-Africa-Europe 1, Europe India Gateway, Seacom, and TGN-Gulf have been impacted. The sabotage affects 25% of the data traffic through the Red Sea, a critical route for data moving from Asia to Europe. Over 90% of Europe-Asia communications rely on these submarine cables, highlighting the strategic importance of Red Sea routes.

Belgian police arrested four individuals, including three minors, suspected of plotting a terror attack on a Brussels concert hall, signaling ongoing concerns over extremist activities in Belgium. The adult suspect faces charges related to terrorism, with the group allegedly targeting the venue for an attack within weeks.

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

South Korea's first military spy satellite has sent back clear images of Pyongyang, marking a significant step in Seoul's independent surveillance capabilities over North Korea. Launched in December from California, this satellite's initial imagery indicates successful performance, with expectations of higher resolution pictures soon.
